	Big Island Lowlines Export 10 Females to the UK
	On April 28, 2010, 10 Lowline heifers from Big Island Lowlines were exported to a new Lowline breeder in the UK. After a 5 month process of becoming a certified Leukosis free herd and fulfilling the EU health certificate requirements, these Lowline heifers flew from Calgary to London as the first shipment of live beef cattle from Canada to the UK in 15-20 years. These heifers are also the first live Lowline to be introduced to England from any country.
